ANAESFLOW HELP

User guide

Follow the workflow from first sign-in to the final invoice. Use the links on the left to jump to a task.

AnaesFlow supports clinical and administrative work; it does not replace your professional judgement or your facility's policies.

Get started

  1. Register for the beta and download the installer for your computer from the Downloads page.
  2. Install AnaesFlow, then open it and enter the email address used to register and your current activation code.
  3. Choose your encrypted workspace location. If you use OneDrive, make sure it is your own authorised account and that files are available on this device.
  4. Complete User profile, including your professional, facility and accounting details before using billing features.

Theatre lists and patient records

  1. Open List management to add or import a theatre list, then review each patient and procedure against the source document.
  2. Open a patient from the list to complete the pre-assessment and follow the patient journey through surgery and discharge.
  3. Use Advanced list actions for list-level corrections. Check the affected patients and any linked invoices before confirming a change.

Medication advice and prescriptions

  1. In a patient's pre-assessment, review their medicines and adjust the proposed pre-operative instructions before preparing the advice email.
  2. For a patient taking a GLP-1 medicine, review the fasting and medication advice for that patient and facility before sending it.
  3. Set reusable post-operative medicines in User profile → Medication defaults. Templates remain editable for each patient and are not automatically selected.
  4. For weight-based dosing, enable it for the medicine in Medication defaults. On the discharge prescription, confirm the patient's recorded weight, calculated dose and directions before finalising.

Invoices and accounts

  1. Open Invoices to prepare the patient's bill, review funding streams and check amounts before finalising or exporting.
  2. Review split or combined invoices as a group: each linked case and payer must be correct before export.
  3. Connect Xero under User profile → Accounting & invoicing → Xero. Use Accounts to review payment status, reconciliation and GST items needing attention.
  4. Correct an exported invoice in Xero first. Do not assume a local change also changes the Xero invoice.

Practice evaluation and surveys

  1. Open Practice evaluation → Patient survey to manage invitations and review responses.
  2. Check invitation status before submitting another invitation. A scheduled or sent invitation may not yet show a final delivery status.
  3. Survey answers are kept separate from patient identities. Aggregate results and reflection become available after the minimum number of completed responses shown in the app.
  4. Use Clinical logbook to review your recorded case history and activity.
